This is a passive adapter board that converts M.2 NGFF or MSATA solid-state drives into a standard SATA interface. It’s ideal for builders, technicians, and hobbyists who want to reuse slim drives in SATA-based systems or enclosures.
Key Features
- Supports M.2 NGFF (80/60/42/30 mm) SSDs that use the SATA protocol, usable with B-key or B/M-key interfaces (not M-key); PCIe/NVMe drives are not supported.
- Mode switch with two-drive capability: NGFF mode up (two SSDs can be inserted at once) and MSATA mode down; only one SSD is recognized at a time, selected by the switch position.
- Converts compatible NGFF/MSATA SSDs to a standard SATA connection for use in 2.5" or 3.5" drives, desktops, laptops, or external enclosures.
- Passive design: no onboard controller, so there is no speed boost—the transfer rate depends on the SSD and host interface (SATA3.1 compliant); no extra bottlenecks from the adapter itself.
- Supports M.2 NGFF sizes 30/42/60/80 mm and MSATA full-height or half-height drives; requires 3.3V power up to 3A.
